The Mariners and Padres -- who will finish off a three-game set at Safeco Field on Thursday and then meet at Petco Park on June 22-24 -- have taken their battle to the Twitter.
Fans of both teams are engaged in a hashtag slugfest using #GoMariners and #GoPadres. The tagged tweets will be counted at the end of each series, and the "winning" team on June 24th will take home the Hashtag Trophy. One lucky fan from the winning side will earn four tickets to a regular season game and a VIP batting practice experience.
