EVENT INFO:

For all Class Outside events, gates will open at 10 AM. Program runs approximately 10:45-11:30 AM. Free Time (lunch at your expense) 11:30 AM - 1 PM, followed by the Detroit Tigers game at 1:08 PM.

Bus parking is free. Located on the North service drive, first come-first serve. Individual vehicle parking will be at your expense. You may bring in sack lunches. Check list of permitted items »


April 11, Career Day
Recommended for middle, high school and early college students.

This presentation includes speakers from several areas in the sports industry. Speakers provide their own personal testimony of their path to their career in sports. Topics include education, experience and career advice. Presenters speak about careers in Marketing, Sales, Media Relations, Park Operations, Broadcasting, Community Relations and more.

April 12, Weather Day
Recommended for elementary and middle school students.

This presentation is hosted by FOX-2 Weather Authority and the Toledo Science Center. The program uses live demonstrations and science experiments to show how clouds are made, anemometers, barometers and more!. It is a fun day of science, weather and baseball.

April 28, Math Day
Recommended for middle and early high schools students.

This presentation hosted by ESPN Sport Science's John Brenkus. The program covers the elements of math and how it is applied in baseball: analytics, sabermetrics, statistics, geometry, ratios, formulas and algebra.

May 18, Space Day
Recommended for elementary and middle school students.

This presentation is hosted by the Michigan Science Center and guest speakers. Past events have included former NASA astronauts Dr. Jerry Linenger and Dr. Mike Massimino The program gives information on space science and the experiences of a NASA astronaut.

May 25, Journalism Day
Recommended for middle, high school and early college students.

The presentation includes speakers from several areas of journalism. Speakers provide their own personal testimony in education, experience and career. Students will hear about the art of sports storytelling and how the news is released across multiple platforms. Areas of focus include print media, photo journalism, social media and radio-television sports journalism.
