Mariners at the plate: Brad Wilkerson hit his first homer of the spring, a two-run opposite-field drive to left in the sixth inning against reliever Miguel Gonzalez. Raul Ibanez singled twice and doubled, and Kenji Johjima had two singles.

Angels at the plate: Juan Rivera crushed his first homer of the spring, a three-run blast. Gary Matthews Jr. launched a solo homer to right in the first, his second of the spring, and added a two-run single. Jeff Mathis doubled and singled twice, while Casey Kotchman doubled, singled and lined out.

Mariners on the mound: Cha Seung Baek was roughed up for four runs and seven hits in three innings, striking out one hitter. R.A. Dickey worked two scoreless innings, striking out two, before surrendering Rivera's three-run homer after two singles.

Angels on the mound: Bidding for the fifth spot in the rotation, Dustin Moseley pitched five scoreless innings, helped by a superb inning-ending double play started by second baseman Howard Kendrick in the first. He scattered six hits and walked none, striking out two. Miguel Gonzalez pitched four innings of relief.

Cactus League records: Mariners 10-14; Angels 17-7.

Up next for Angels: Coming off his finest effort of the spring, Ervin Santana faces the Padres and southpaw Randy Wolf at Tempe Diablo Stadium. Santana put it all together in six scoreless innings of one-hit ball, striking out five while walking three. Shaving his ERA to 5.49, Santana now has 16 strikeouts against six walks in 19 2/3 innings. Vladimir Guerrero is expected to return to right field after missing three games with stiffness in his right knee.

Up next for Mariners: Left-hander Jarrod Washburn, who has been the most consistent of the five starters, makes his fifth Cactus League start, facing the White Sox at Peoria Stadium. The veteran threw 87 pitches in his previous start but that only took him into the fourth inning. He figures to reach the 100-pitch plateau against the White Sox and preferably go at least six innings. Right-hander Sean Green and left-hander Arthur Rhodes also are slated to pitch for Seattle.
