SEATTLE, Wash. -- Seattle Mariners Executive Vice President & General Manager of Baseball Operations Jack Zduriencik announced today the club has invited 19 players to Major League Spring Training.

The list of invites features several notable players, including 2013 Mariners Minor League Player of the Year Chris Taylor and 2013 Mariners Minor League Relief Pitcher of the Year Carson Smith.

Of the 19 players that have been added to the Spring Training roster (in addition to the 40-man roster), 16 were members of the Mariners organization last season and 14 are homegrown products having been originally drafted or signed by Seattle.

Pitchers and catchers will report to spring training in Peoria, AZ on Feb. 12 (physicals) and holds its first workout Feb. 13. Position players are scheduled to report for physicals Feb. 17 and the first full-squad workout will be held Feb. 18.

The Mariners Spring Training roster is currently at 59 players (40 roster, 19 non-roster), including 29 pitchers (11 non-roster), 5 catchers (3 non-roster), 14 infielders (4 non-roster) and 11 outfielders (1 non-roster).
