SYDNEY -- A brief rain shower delayed the start of the season opener between the D-backs and Dodgers on Saturday. First pitch was pushed back 14 minutes to 5 a.m. ET.
The tarp came off the Sydney Cricket Ground turf at 4:30 a.m. and the pitchers began their pregame warmup routines, but the planned pregame festivities were shortened.
