    Outfielder Mike Trout has been chosen to start for the American League in the 2016 Major League All-Star Game, to be played July 12 at Petco Park in San Diego, CA. He is just the third Angels player to be selected as a starter in four consecutive All-Star Games, joining Vladimir Guerrero (2004-07) and Rod Carew (1980-84).

  • Angels and Rod Carew to Launch Heart of 29 with the American Heart Association

    The Los Angeles Angels, in partnership with baseball legend Rod Carew and his wife Rhonda, will launch a year-long campaign to promote awareness of cardiovascular disease. The Heart of 29 campaign honors the Carew's wish to assist the American Heart Association following the Hall of Famer's recent heart attack and subsequent surgery. Rod had an LVAD (left ventricular assist device) implanted during surgery and is anticipating the possibility of a heart transplant.
