    A limited number of tickets for the Astros Foundation's sixth-annual Picnic In The Park fundraising event, presented by Pluckers, are still available for purchase. This year's event will take place on Sunday, June 24 following the Astros vs. Kansas City Royals afternoon matchup. This popular fundraiser, which gives fans the rare opportunity to spend an afternoon on the outfield grass at Minute Maid Park, will feature 2018 Astros players, alumni and members of the Astros front office. All proceeds from the charitable event will benefit the Astros Foundation. Tickets are on sale now but go quickly, so fans are encouraged to reserve their tickets as soon as possible.

    The Houston Astros have signed 2018 First-Round Draft selection OF Seth Beer today. Terms of the deal were not disclosed. The announcement was made by Astros Assistant General Manager, Player Acquisition, Mike Elias.

  • Energy Transfer Launches Philanthropic Initiative to Benefit Astros Foundation

    Astros corporate partner Energy Transfer Partners announced the launch of a new philanthropic initiative to benefit the Astros Foundation for the 2018 season. Every time an Astros home run hits the Energy Transfer outfield sign in left-center field, the organization will donate $5,000 to the Astros Foundation. The Astros have already recorded one such home run this season, courtesy of Astros designated hitter Evan Gattis on June 1 vs. the Boston Red Sox.

  • Astros Sign Six Players from 2018 MLB Draft Class

    The Houston Astros have signed six players who were selected in the 2018 MLB First-Year Player Draft. Those players include shortstop Jeremy Peña (3rd round), right-handed pitcher Cody Deason (5th round) and right-handed pitcher Austin Hansen (8th round), who were all selected within the top 10 rounds of the 2018 draft. Terms of the contracts were not disclosed. The official announcement was made by Astros Assistant General Manager of Player Acquisition Mike Elias.

    The Houston Astros have completed their selections tonight by picking right-handed pitcher Jayson Schroeder in the second round of the June 2018 First-Year Player Draft. Earlier tonight, the Astros picked Clemson outfielder Seth Beer with the 28th overall pick in the first round.
