  • Dodgers Support 2015 Special Olympics and Present Medals to Softball Champions

    The Los Angeles Dodgers has partnered with the Special Olympics World Games Los Angeles 2015 (LA2015) this summer. With nearly 7,000 athletes and 3,000 coaches representing 170 countries, along with 30,000 volunteers and an anticipated 500,000 spectators, the 2015 Special Olympics World Games - being staged in Los Angeles July 25-August 2, 2015 - will be the largest sports and humanitarian event anywhere in the world in 2015, and one of the biggest events in Los Angeles since the 1984 Olympic Games.

  • Gonzalez, Grandal, Greinke and Pederson Selected to NL All-Star Team

    The Los Angeles Dodgers today had four players named to the National League All-Star team: first baseman Adrian Gonzalez, catcher Yasmani Grandal, right-handed pitcher Zack Greinke and outfielder Joc Pederson. Greinke and Pederson were selected to the team as a result of player balloting, while Grandal and Gonzalez were chosen by NL manager Bruce Bochy. Major League Baseball's 86th All-Star Game will be played on Tuesday, July 14 at Great American Ball Park in Cincinnati.

  • Dodgers Select Contract of Eric Surkamp, Option Daniel Coulombe

    The Los Angeles Dodgers today selected the contract of left-handed pitcher Eric Surkamp (#59) from Triple-A Oklahoma City and optioned left-hander Daniel Coulombe to Triple-A. To make room on the 40-man roster, Los Angeles transferred left-handed pitcher Paco Rodriguez (left elbow surgery) to the 60-day DL.

    The Los Angeles Dodgers today placed right-handed pitcher Carlos Frias on the 15-day disabled list (retroactive to July 1) with right, low back tightness and recalled left-hander Daniel Coulombe from Triple-A Oklahoma City.

  • First-Place Dodgers Continue Eighth Homestand of Season Against Phillies Monday

    The Dodgers' eighth homestand of the season continues with a four-game series against the Phillies Monday, July 6, Tuesday, July 7, Wednesday, July 8 and Thursday, July 9. All games against the Mets begin at 7:10 p.m. with auto gates opening at 4:40 p.m. and stadium gates opening at 5:10 p.m. Tickets for games against the Phillies can be purchased by calling 866-DODGERS or by visiting www.dodgers.com/tickets. The Dodgers are celebrating Independence Day Weekend with a ticket special. All reserve level tickets are 50 percent off for the game on Wednesday, July 8.   • Dodgers Acquire Minor Leaguers Dirks and Paroubeck from Braves

    The Los Angeles Dodgers today acquired minor league right-handed pitcher Caleb Dirks and outfielder Jordan Paroubeck from the Atlanta Braves in exchange for international signing slot No. 87. Dirks has been assigned to Single-A Rancho Cucamonga and Paroubeck will head to Arizona and continue rehabbing a minor quad injury.

  • Dodgers Sign Nine International Prospects

    The Los Angeles Dodgers today announced the signings of nine international prospects, including four ranked in Fangraphs.com's scoutboard 2015 International Prospects list: Yadier Alvarez (No. 1), Starling Heredia (No. 12), Ronny Brito (No. 15) and Oneil Cruz (No. 33).

  • First-Place Dodgers Begin Homestand Against New York Mets 4th of July Weekend

    The Dodgers' eighth homestand of the season begins with a three-game series against the New York Mets tomorrow, July 3 (RHP Noah Syndergaard vs. LHP Clayton Kershaw), Saturday, July 4 (RHP Matt Harvey vs. RHP Zack Greinke) and Sunday, July 5 (LHP Steven Matz vs. RHP Mike Bolsinger). Tomorrow's game against the Mets begins at 7:10 p.m. with auto gates opening at 4:40 p.m. and stadium gates opening at 5:10 p.m. Saturday's game is set for 4:10 p.m. with auto gates opening at 1:45 p.m. and stadium gates at 2:15 p.m. Sunday's contest begins at 1:10 p.m. with auto gates opening at 10:40 a.m. and stadium gates at 11:10 a.m. Right-field and left-field plaza gates will open early at 10:40 a.m. for Photo Day.   • Dodgers Acquire Minor Leaguers DeJong and Locastro From Blue Jays

    The Los Angeles Dodgers today acquired minor league right-handed pitcher Chase DeJong and infielder Tim Locastro from the Toronto Blue Jays in exchange for three international signing slots: 27, 57 and 117. DeJong and Locastro have been assigned to Single-A Rancho Cucamonga.
