Pirates to honor Bat Girl contest winner on Saturday
Major League Baseball announced the 30 winners of the 2013 Honorary Bat Girl Contest that recognizes baseball fans who have been affected by breast cancer and demonstrate a commitment to eradicating the disease. The winner of the Honorary Bat Girl Contest for the Pittsburgh Pirates is Maria Heddleston, who will be recognized in a pre-game ceremony before the Pirates vs. Houston Astros game on Saturday, May 18.

Pirates to host Team PhotoFest at PNC Park on Saturday, May 18
The Pittsburgh Pirates have announced the 2013 Team PhotoFest will take place on Saturday, May 18 from 4:45 to 5:45 p.m. on the warning track of PNC Park prior to the team's 7:05 p.m. game vs. the Houston Astros. The event, which is free of charge and open to all fans with a ticket to that night's game, will give fans a unique opportunity to meet and take photos of their favorite Pirates' players and coaches.

The Pirates return to PNC Park for a 10-game homestand that will be highlighted by the "How Many Ks" promotion tickets on sale for Monday, May 13 thru Friday, May 17. The A.J.
