Seattle Mariners Executive Vice President and General Manager Bill Bavasi announced today that the club has selected infielder Greg Dobbs and outfielder Adam Jones from Triple-A Tacoma and asked for waivers on Jeff Harris for the purpose of giving the right-handed pitcher his unconditional release. The move releasing Harris allows Jones, 20, to be placed on the Mariners' 40-man roster.

Yesterday, outfielder Shin-Soo Choo was optioned to Tacoma and catcher Luis Oliveros was outrighted to Single-A Inland Empire, making room for Dobbs, 28, and Jones to join Seattle's 25-man roster tonight in Toronto. Jones will start in center field as a six-game road trip and three-game series with the Blue Jays gets underway. Dobbs will wear #22 and Jones #25.

Harris, 32, was with Seattle at the outset of the 2006 regular season, posting a 5.40 ERA (2ER/3.1IP) in three relief appearances. He made his Major League debut last season, going 2-5, 4.19 (25ER/53.2IP) in 11 games, including eight starts.

Harris was optioned to Tacoma on April 12. He was limited to six games at Tacoma this year due to right shoulder tendinitis. He had no decisions with a 4.32 ERA (4ER/8.1IP) in six relief appearances. He also made two rehabilitation appearances this month at Rookie Peoria.
