CLEVELAND -- The Mariners scheduled doubleheader in Cleveland Saturday was canceled by
inclement weather. With snow flurries and a projected high of 29 degrees, the games were canceled just after 6:30 a.m.
(PDT) this morning.
Seattle is now scheduled to play a doubleheader in Cleveland on Sunday, April 8, beginning at 10:05 a.m. (PDT).
The first game will begin at 10:05 a.m. (PDT). Right-hander Jeff Weaver is scheduled to make his Mariners debut for
Seattle, while Cleveland will counter with left-hander CC Sabathia (1-0, 4.50).
The second game is scheduled to begin approximately 20 minutes after game #1. Right-hander Felix Hernandez (1-0,
0.00) will start for Seattle, while Cleveland will start RH Fausto Carmona.
Both games will be carried on KOMO 1000 and the Mariners radio network. Television plans are still being finalized.
