Mariners sign INF Sean Kazmar and RHP Justin Miller to Minor League contracts
Pair will be invited to Major League Spring Training

SEATTLE -- Seattle Mariners Executive Vice President & General Manager of Baseball Operations Jack Zduriencik announced today that the club has signed infielder Sean Kazmar and right-handed pitcher Justin Miller to Minor League contracts and invited them to Major League spring training.

Kazmar, 26, hit .275 (137x499) in 130 games last season with the Portland Beavers, the Triple-A affiliate of the San Diego Padres. He appeared in 19 games with the Padres in 2008, batting .205 (8x39) with one double and 2 RBI. Kazmar was originally selected by San Diego in 5th round of the 2004 June draft.

Miller, 33, has appeared in 216 career Major League games with the Blue Jays, Marlins, Giants and Dodgers. He posted a 3-3, 3.18 (20 ER, 56.2 IP) in 44 relief appearances with the Giants in 2009 and was 0-0, 4.44 (12 ER, 24.1 IP) with the Dodgers last season.
