Seattle Mariners offer new fan experience technology at Safeco Field
Fans can upgrade seats, soon access unique ballpark experiences via mobile devices

The Seattle Mariners are launching a new way for fans to enhance their ballpark experience at Safeco Field through a free mobile app starting Friday, August 23, when the Mariners meet the Los Angeles Angels.
Mobile Seat Upgrades
Through a partnership with fan experience technology company Experience and MLB.com's At the Ballpark free app, fans at Safeco Field will be able to purchase upgrades to their seat locations based on a roster of preferences. They can find a seat closer to the action, in a climate-controlled Club, or in a spot where they're more likely to catch a home run. Mariners season ticket holders have exclusive access to the upgrades beginning one hour before first pitch. All fans can access upgrades 30 minutes before the game starts.
The free At the Ballpark app is for iPad, iPhone or Android mobile devices. Through At the Ballpark fans can see upgrade options before the start of the game, purchase through a secure transaction, and have the tickets delivered to the user's mobile device.
In addition to seat upgrades, fans will soon have access to purchase a variety of unique experiences at Safeco Field to enhance their trip to the ballpark. Future options will include such experiences as a chance to watch batting practice from the field, meet Mariners legend Edgar Martinez at a reception at Edgar's Cantina, wine tastings at 1st Base Vine on the Main Concourse, and many other memorable experiences available only through At the Ballpark.

MLB.com At The Ballpark is your mobile companion when visiting your favorite Major League Baseball ballparks. The official MLB ballpark application perfectly complements and personalizes the trip with mobile check-in, social media, offers, rewards and exclusive content. At The Ballpark lets fans document their visits by uploading photos, view team stats and video highlights from games attended, see the team schedule and ticket specials, food and beverage offerings, parking information and much more.
Experience and MLB Advanced Media, L.P. (MLBAM), the interactive media and Internet company of Major League Baseball, announced a partnership in March 2013 to deliver seat and experience upgrade technology at participating ballparks. In addition to Safeco Field, the seat and experience technology is currently available at Chase Field (Arizona Diamondbacks), Great American Ball Park (Cincinnati Reds), Kauffman Stadium (Kansas City Royals), Marlins Park (Miami Marlins), O.co Coliseum (Oakland A's), Oriole Park (Baltimore Orioles), Rangers Ballpark (Texas Rangers), Target Field (Minnesota Twins), Turner Field (Atlanta Braves), and U.S. Cellular Field (Chicago White Sox).
