Mariners recall LHP Bobby LaFromboise from AAA Tacoma

Left-handed reliever will be available for tonight's game vs. the Tampa Bay Rays

SEATTLE, Wash. -- Seattle Mariners Executive Vice President & General Manager Jack Zduriencik announced today the following roster move:

  • LHP Bobby LaFromboise (lah-frahm-BOYCE) recalled from AAA Tacoma

LaFromboise (#30) will be active for tonight's game vs. the Tampa Bay Rays at Safeco Field (6:10 p.m.).

LaFromboise, 27, will be making his third stint with the Mariners this season (April 10-18 & July 12-23). In four appearances with Seattle he has posted allowed 5 earned runs (16.88 ERA). He made his MLB debut April 10 vs. Houston.

LaFromboise spent most of the season with AAA Tacoma, going 6-0 with 5 saves and a 3.39 ERA (23 ER, 61.0 IP) in 45 relief appearances.

The left-hander was originally selected by Seattle in the 8th round of the 2008 June Amateur Draft out of the University of New Mexico. In six minor league seasons he has combined to go 35-22 with 12 saves and a 3.53 ERA in 220 appearances (43 starts).
