ROOT SPORTS and 710 ESPN to provide complete coverage of Mariners 2014 Spring Training

ROOT SPORTS and 710 ESPN Seattle will provide complete coverage of the Seattle Mariners 2014 Spring Training camp in Peoria, Arizona, including Cactus League games as well as other special programming. Seven games are scheduled to air on ROOT SPORTS, while 27 of the team's Cactus League games will be carried by radio partner 710 ESPN.

In addition to the game telecasts, ROOT SPORTS will air "Mariners All-Access" nightly Monday through Sunday, from March 3rd through 26th. The first scheduled TV game is Wednesday, March 12th, when the Mariners take on the Chicago Cubs at 7:05 pm PDT. Other televised games include:

  • Saturday, March 15 vs. San Francisco Giants (1:05pm PDT)
  • Tuesday, March 18 vs. San Diego Padres (7:05pm PDT)
  • Friday, March 21 vs. San Diego Padres (7:05pm PDT)
  • Saturday, March 22 vs. Colorado Rockies (delayed to 5:00pm PDT)
  • Friday, March 28 vs. Colorado Rockies (7:05pm PDT)
  • Saturday, March 29 vs. Colorado Rockies (12:10pm PDT)

On the radio, 27 of the Mariners Spring Training games will be carried on 710 ESPN, the Mariners flagship radio station. Of the 27 game broadcasts, 19 will be carried live on 710 ESPN as well as on mariners.com. Eight midweek day games will be aired on a delayed basis by the station at 7pm PDT, and will be available live at no charge on mariners.com. The first radio broadcast will be the spring opener on Thursday, February 27, when the Mariners face the San Diego Padres in Peoria, at 12 pm PST. 710 ESPN will also air the "Cactus League Report" every week beginning Tuesday, February 25th through the last week of March (check local listings).

Seattle pitchers and catchers report to Spring Training on February 12th (physicals) and hold their first workout February 13th. Position players are scheduled to report February 17th, with the first full-squad workout on February 18th.

The Mariners open the 2014 regular season Monday, March 31st at Los Angeles against the Angels. The home opener will be Tuesday, April 8th vs. the Angels at Safeco Field.

Mariners Spring Ticket Information:

Single-game tickets: Tickets for all Mariners games at the Peoria Sports Complex are now on sale. Tickets may be purchased via phone at 800-677-1227, online at mariners.com, or in person at the Peoria Sports Complex box office located at 16101 N. 83rd Ave., Peoria, AZ 85382. 

Group ticketing: Group ticket discounts include $1.00 off tickets for groups of 20 or more and $2.00 off tickets for groups of 100 or more on seats in the Upper Box, Outfield Box, Bleachers or Lawn. Spring Training Tours packages: Official Mariners Spring Training fan travel packages are currently on sale. Fans can stay as few as two nights or as long as a week.
