We welcome the team back into town tonight as the Mariners kick off their second consecutive nine-game homestand facing the Oakland Athletics, San Diego Padres and Boston Red Sox. TRAFFIC ALERTS

Traffic Alert, I-90 to close

Friday, May 8 through Sunday, May 10:
Highway 99 will be closed in both directions from the south end of the Battery Street Tunnel to Valley Street from 10:00 p.m., Friday, May 8 until 5:00 a.m., Sunday, May 10. There will be on/off availability on Western Avenue.

In order to accommodate game traffic for the weekend series vs. the Athletics, one southbound lane of Highway 99 will open on Saturday at 3:00 p.m. Two northbound lanes will reopen at 8:30 p.m., Saturday. Full closure will resume at 10:30 p.m. until 5:00 a.m., Sunday.

Friday, May 15 through Sunday, May 17:
The I-90 mainline will be closed eastbound from 11 p.m., Friday, May 15 until 5 a.m., Monday, May 18. This traffic will be detoured from the mainline to the express lanes at the Mt. Baker tunnel entrance, though only one lane onto the express lanes will be open from that location. To get to the I-90 express lanes, consider using the HOV on-ramp from Seattle Blvd.

To avoid backups on surface streets near the ballpark, avoid Edgar Martinez Drive South and 4th Ave. as it approaches I-90 on-ramps. Use SR99 NB to Mercer to get to I-5 northbound or to SR250, or use the on-ramps at Dearborn or Cherry Street to reach I-5 NB. To access I-5 southbound, use 4th Ave. or 6th Ave. at Spokane Street (via Holgate or Lander, do not use Edgar Martinez Drive). Consider using SR520 to cross the lake.
